NOTES TO CHAPTER

Coat of Arms of Trinidad & TobagoHere lie a few items you may wish to know about the construction or compilation of this E-book;

CAPITAL LETTERS
...on some words like Church or Gospel may seem unnecessary, but it gives it the distinction of being 'the true Church' or 'the true Gospel' and not just the word in is normal context.

QUOTES FROM MEMBERS
... were obtained through short sit down interview or asking the person to write their comments down on piece of paper.

OBVIOUS INFORMATION
... some things included here as far as history, descriptions and comments may be obvious to a person that has traveled and experienced the Church in its fulness, but this book was not written with that sort of reader in mind.... In fact this book was written for those who are not quite so privileged.

PICTURES
...that were photographed in this book mostly came through my efforts as an amateur photographer. Others were given to me by those willing to depart with such. I had to take most of the photos so that I would have less trouble in convincing owners of historical photographs to depart with theirs as I did in the production of Book One. Some pages were scanned in its original format.

HISTORY OF THE SAINTS IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO II PREFACE

When ? When ? When will the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints awake and arise to the call of being an enduring pioneer ? When will they understand that they are the ones laying a great foundation for the Lord to establish His Kingdom here in Trinidad and Tobago ? How many of us actually believe that with our whole being ? I have learnt and it is constantly reinforced within my heart that true conversion comes from applying those principles to which we say we are converted. Let us discover the pioneer within us -- the pioneer who is leading the way and making preparations for the children of God to find peace through the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The pioneer who stands up to tribulation with eyes of faith. The pioneer who is tired, who feels like he/she cannot go on anymore on the long journey towards perfection, but with determination of a hundred patriotic soldiers in the field of battle decides,

"I will, I will, I will !"

Acknowledgments must be given to those who have already sacrificed greatly to help the Church move forward here. I do not refer only to the 'major players', but to YOU, yes you, you who will stand by the doors of the Church and welcome those who come to worship the Lord; You, who will go and do your home teaching, your visiting teaching, you, who will seek to pay your tithes and serve faithfully in the Church. It is to you my 'thank you' will go for your diligence is making it possible for the Church to move forward here at great pace. My thanks means nothing for the great reward comes from Him. It is for Him this righteous work is being done. Do not give up, be strong and of good cheer. May you find strength within what you are about to read.
